INFO FOR SCHOOL CLOSURES IN EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS

Please be aware that KCA will close for extreme weather conditions or a snow day when the Lakeport Unified School District (LUSD) announces a closure, as was the case this past Monday. The LUSD Office (262-3000) will announce school closures on local radio stations: KWINE 94.5 FM; KXBX 98.3 FM; KUKI 103.3 FM; KNTI 99.5 FM; KXBX 1270 AM. LUSD is also typically active on their Facebook page.

In the event of extreme weather or other conditions, including  potential power outage days determined by PG&E, please monitor LUSD’s activity regarding school closures. KCA may use various methods to contact you in the event of a school closure, including phone, e-mail and posts on the school’s Facebook page.

We realize you may live in an area other than Lakeport, and if you are unable to travel to school or may be late because of extreme weather or poor road conditions, please notify the office.
